Bellerive Park

Bellerive Park is a scenic public space located in the Carondelet neighborhood of St. Louis, Missouri. Originally known as Riverside Park, it was renamed in honor of the early French governor of Saint Louis. The park was established in 1908 and covers an area of 8.67 acres.

Situated along the Mississippi River, Bellerive Park offers sweeping views of the waterway heading southwards. The park's design takes advantage of its elevated position, with nearly every bench facing out towards the river to provide visitors with panoramic vistas. A grand pavilion serves as a focal point, offering an ideal spot for contemplation and enjoyment of the scenery.

The park features a crescent drive accessible from Broadway, leading up to the pavilion and then to a bridge crossing over Broadway. This layout allows for easy navigation and enhances the overall visitor experience. Bellerive Park also includes a playground area, providing recreational opportunities for children.

As part of its natural features, Bellerive Park incorporates a pollinator garden that supports bees and Monarch butterflies, contributing to local biodiversity.
