Zimmerman Park

Zimmerman Park is a scenic natural area located atop the Billings Rimrocks in Billings, Montana. The park offers visitors expansive views overlooking the city of Billings and the surrounding landscape.

Situated along Highway 3 west of downtown Billings, Zimmerman Park features numerous dirt trails that wind along the face of the sandstone cliffs known as the Rimrocks. These trails are popular for hiking, trail running, and mountain biking. The park's elevated position provides opportunities for rock climbing on the sandstone formations as well.

The terrain in Zimmerman Park consists of rugged sandstone outcroppings interspersed with native grasses and shrubs. Visitors can explore the natural environment while taking in panoramic vistas of the Yellowstone Valley below. The park serves as a gateway to the Rimrocks and connects to other trail systems in the area.

In addition to the network of dirt trails, Zimmerman Park contains a short paved trail leading to an informational kiosk with historical details about the area. A parking lot provides access for visitors arriving by car. The park is day-use only and does not offer camping facilities.
