About Heritage Park in Henderson
Heritage Park is a large public park located in Henderson, Nevada. Spanning 160 acres, it is one of the city's premier parks and sports complexes. The park features extensive green spaces, sports facilities, and recreational amenities for visitors of all ages.
A key feature of Heritage Park is its sports facilities, which include lighted ball fields with warm-up areas and lighted multi-use fields. These fields host various sporting events and community activities throughout the year. The park also contains an amphitheater for outdoor performances and events.
For dog owners, Heritage Park includes a 5-acre off-leash dog park called the Bark Park. This area features separate dog runs, an agility course, a walking trail, and dog bone-themed benches. It also has drinking stations for both pets and people.
The park offers ample space for outdoor recreation with its open grass areas, picnic shelters, and picnic tables. There are also playgrounds for children and walking trails throughout the park. Additionally, the park contains outdoor classrooms, providing opportunities for environmental education.
A special area of Heritage Park called Q's Court serves as a place for meditation and reflection. This space honors Quinton Robbins, one of the victims of the Route 91 Harvest Festival tragedy in Las Vegas on October 1, 2017.
