Galaxy Park

Galaxy Park is a recently developed community park located in North Las Vegas, Nevada. Opened in May 2022, the park spans nearly 10 acres within the master-planned community of Valley Vista. The park offers a variety of recreational facilities and amenities designed to cater to residents of all ages.

The centerpiece of Galaxy Park is its expansive playground area, which features a beach-themed play structure called the Smart Play BeachComber. This structure is designed for children ages 5 to 12 and includes various climbing elements such as the Tidal Wave Climber, Traveler Climber, Belt Bridge, Balance Climber, and Sunbeam Climber. The playground also offers sliding experiences with an Alpine Slide and Double Wave Slide.

In addition to the main play structure, the park incorporates numerous freestanding play components scattered throughout the area. These include a Lunar Blast Net Climber, Global Motion and GeoPlex 3-Spoke Tower for climbing enthusiasts, as well as hillside slides, Curva Spinners, a Double Bobble Rider, and a DigiRider Rocket Ship for diverse play experiences.

The park's design includes several shaded areas, with five large triangular shade sails covering different play zones. This thoughtful addition helps protect visitors from the intense Nevada sun. The park also features spacious lawn areas, providing ample space for picnics, relaxation, and informal recreational activities.

For pet owners, Galaxy Park includes two designated dog park areas, allowing furry friends to exercise and socialize off-leash. Fitness enthusiasts can take advantage of the park's fitness areas and walking paths that meander through the grounds.

Sports facilities at Galaxy Park include lighted pickleball, volleyball, and basketball courts, catering to a variety of athletic interests. The park also features a disc golf course, adding another recreational option for visitors.

Galaxy Park's design prioritizes accessibility, with the play area strategically placed away from parking lots and incorporating ramps for easy navigation. The park's layout, described as somewhat "sunken," creates a sense of containment that enhances safety for younger visitors.
