Elephant Park

During the winter months, Elephant Park transforms into Newport Skates, featuring an outdoor ice skating rink that operates from November to March. This seasonal attraction provides a unique opportunity for winter recreation in the heart of Jersey City.

In the warmer months, the park offers various activities and amenities. Recently, LeFrak, the developer of the Newport area, added free pickleball courts to Elephant Park. These courts are available on a first-come, first-serve basis, providing an additional recreational option for park visitors.

The park also features shaded seating areas, allowing visitors to relax and enjoy the outdoors. Unique artist sculptures are displayed throughout the park, adding an aesthetic element to the green space.
