Vista del Norte

Vista Del Norte Park is a spacious green space located in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Situated just west of I-25, this expansive park covers an area of approximately 16.6 acres, making it one of the larger city parks in the Northeast Heights area of Albuquerque.

The park features a large turf field that serves as a popular venue for youth sports practices and games. In recent years, the City of Albuquerque has undertaken improvement projects to enhance the park's facilities. One significant upgrade was the expansion of the turf field on the eastern side of the park, nearly doubling its size to almost five acres. This expansion has increased the available space for recreational activities and sports events.

Vista Del Norte Park is particularly busy during the annual Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta, as its location provides excellent views of the hot air balloons. The park's open spaces and amenities make it a favored spot for picnics, casual strolls, and various outdoor activities throughout the year.

Future plans for the park, pending additional funding, include expanding parking facilities, adding restrooms near the existing field on the west side, constructing a dog park to the east, creating a perimeter trail, and planting numerous trees and other vegetation to enhance the park's natural beauty and shade coverage.
