Sprayground

Civic Plaza is a large public space located in the heart of downtown Albuquerque, New Mexico. Constructed in 1974, it serves as the city's primary gathering place for outdoor events and activities. The plaza spans approximately two city blocks and has a capacity to accommodate up to 20,000 people.

The plaza features a sizeable performance stage, making it suitable for concerts, festivals, and other public events. In 2015, improvements were made to enhance the plaza's functionality and appeal, including the addition of tables, chairs, shade umbrellas, and a large movie projection system.

A notable feature of Civic Plaza is its interactive water fountain, which serves as both a visual attraction and a popular spot for children to play during warm weather. The plaza also includes a playground area, further increasing its appeal to families.

Civic Plaza is connected to several important civic buildings, including Albuquerque City Hall and the Albuquerque Convention Center. This central location makes it a hub for both local government activities and tourism.
