Sunrise Terrace Park

Sunrise Terrace Park is a neighborhood park located in Las Cruces, New Mexico. This well-used green space serves the surrounding residential area. The park has recently undergone improvements to enhance its appeal and functionality for local families.

In 2018, the City of Las Cruces invested in upgrades to Sunrise Terrace Park, with funding from various sources including the G.O. Bond Program, Councilor Set-Aside for Parks, and State Capital Outlay Funds. These improvements were designed to make the park more inviting and accessible to visitors of all ages.

The park features a play structure for children, which has been enhanced with the addition of three cool topper shades to provide protection from the sun. The play area now has new surfacing with wood chips, making it ADA accessible and safer for young visitors. To improve visibility and extend usable hours, new LED lights on 20-foot poles have been installed throughout the park.

For visitors looking to relax or enjoy a picnic, Sunrise Terrace Park offers new picnic tables and benches. The park's cleanliness is maintained with the addition of new trash receptacles. These amenities contribute to a more comfortable and enjoyable experience for park-goers.

Sunrise Terrace Park also incorporates a disc golf course, adding a recreational element for enthusiasts of the sport. The course utilizes the existing park features, with tee areas marked on sidewalks and other park structures serving as part of the layout.
