Dana Park

Dana Park is a small urban park located in Albany, New York. Covering an area of approximately 0.2 acres (810 square meters), it sits at the intersection of Delaware Avenue, Lark Street, and Dana Avenue, forming a triangular shape. The park serves as a green space within the city's urban landscape.

One of the notable features of Dana Park is the memorial to James Dana, a renowned geologist. This memorial, erected in 1903 by the Dana Natural History Society, doubles as Albany's last remaining horse trough. The fountain is carved with features of trilobites, crinoids, and eurypterids, reflecting Dana's geological interests.
