Eastway Park

Eastway Park is a 95-acre urban park located in east Charlotte, North Carolina. The park sits along Eastway Drive and features a mix of natural areas and recreational facilities.

At the heart of the park is the recently constructed Eastway Regional Recreation Center, which opened in April 2021. This 95,000 square foot facility provides a variety of indoor amenities for community use. The recreation center was designed to serve the diverse population of east Charlotte with programs and spaces for all ages.

Outside the recreation center, Eastway Park offers open green spaces, walking trails, and sports fields. The park contains wetland areas and connects to the nearby Briarwood Park via trails. Soccer fields are available for public use and organized leagues.

A playground area for children was relocated to accommodate the new recreation center building. The park aims to balance preservation of natural habitats with providing recreational opportunities for the surrounding neighborhoods.
