Fred Fletcher Park

Fred Fletcher Park is a 21.4-acre public park located in Midtown Raleigh, North Carolina. Established in 1981, the park occupies the former campus of the Methodist Home for Children, which was purchased by the City of Raleigh in 1982.

The park features a mix of recreational facilities and natural areas. It includes sports fields and courts for activities like tennis, basketball, and soccer. There is also a playground for children. One of the park's notable features is its water garden and wetlands area, which provides habitat for local wildlife and opportunities for nature observation.

Fred Fletcher Park contains several historic buildings, including the Borden Building and Garris Building. The Borden Building and adjacent amphitheater can be rented for events like weddings, parties, and small conferences. The park has multiple entrances accessible from St. Mary's Street and Glenwood Avenue. Parking is available at 820 Clay Street and 805 Washington Street.
