About Inwood Park in Cincinnati
Inwood Park is a 19.898-acre public park located at 2326 Vine Street in the Mount Auburn neighborhood of Cincinnati, Ohio. The park has an interesting history, having originally been an old stone quarry before being acquired by the city in 1904 for use as a public green space.
The park features diverse terrain, including rolling hills and mature trees, providing a serene natural setting within the urban environment. A notable feature is the lake, which adds to the park's scenic beauty and offers opportunities for relaxation and recreation.
Inwood Park underwent significant improvements in recent years, including the installation of a new playground in 2021. This playground, known as the PNC Grow Up Great® Playground, is the largest play area in any Cincinnati Park and is designed to be fully accessible for children of all abilities. It includes unique features such as a 90-foot zip line, musical instruments, and a variety of swings, including a fully accessible ADA swing.
The park caters to visitors of all ages with its various amenities. In addition to the new playground at the upper part of the park, there is another playground located in the lower section near Vine Street. The park also offers picnic areas, a paved walking trail, and a granite boulder monument, providing diverse options for recreation and leisure.
