About Ault Park in Cincinnati

Ault Park is the fourth-largest park in Cincinnati, Ohio, spanning 223.949 acres. Located in the Mount Lookout neighborhood on the city's east side, this hilltop park offers extensive panoramic views of the Little Miami River valley. Established in 1911, the park is named in honor of Ida May Ault and her husband Levi Addison Ault, who was instrumental in the development of Cincinnati's parks.

The park features a central pavilion, built in 1930 in the Italian Renaissance style. This impressive structure is a popular venue for various events, including weddings, parties, and community gatherings. Adjacent to the pavilion is a cascade fountain and formal gardens, originally designed by George Kessler and later modified by A. D. Taylor.

Ault Park provides a diverse range of recreational opportunities for visitors. The park includes nature trails for hiking and exploration, allowing guests to immerse themselves in the natural beauty of the area. For families, there are children's play areas and open spaces suitable for picnics and outdoor activities.

One of the park's highlights is its beautiful gardens. These include cherry blossom groves that bloom in pink and white during March and April, as well as the Adopt-A-Garden program and a butterfly garden. The park also features a soccer field and various picnic facilities, making it a versatile destination for both active recreation and relaxation.

Throughout the year, Ault Park hosts several notable events. These include a large 4th of July celebration with fireworks, the Ault Park Concours d'Elegance (an invitational antique and exotic car display), and a summer concert series.
