Mock Park is a 24.474-acre community park located in the Northeast area of Columbus, Ohio. Acquired in 1959, this urban green space serves as a valuable recreational resource for local residents and visitors alike.
The park provides access to the adjacent Mock Nature Preserve, an 82.81-acre protected area that offers additional opportunities for nature exploration and wildlife observation. This combination of developed parkland and natural preserve creates a diverse environment for outdoor activities and relaxation.
Mock Park features a variety of recreational facilities to cater to different interests and age groups. The park includes athletic fields and courts, making it suitable for organized sports and casual play. A 0.6-mile paved path winds through the park, offering a convenient route for walking, jogging, or leisurely strolls.
For families with children, the park offers a playground area where kids can engage in active play. Picnic tables and an open-air shelter provide spaces for gatherings and outdoor meals. The park also includes wooded areas and wildlife zones, allowing visitors to connect with nature within the urban setting.
Recently, plans have been announced to add ten new pickleball courts to Mock Park. These courts will be housed in a covered structure called The Mock Park Pickleball Facility, expanding the recreational options available to park visitors.
Mock Park is open daily from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m., offering ample time for community members to enjoy its facilities throughout the year.
