About Clinton-Como Park in Columbus
Clinton-Como Park is a 21.12-acre neighborhood park located in the Clintonville community of Columbus, Ohio. The park borders the east bank of the Olentangy River, just south of North Broadway Avenue. It consists of two sections - north and south - and contains a portion of the Olentangy Greenway Trail running along the river.
The park provides a natural setting for outdoor recreation and leisure activities. A bridge at the southern end of the park allows cyclists and pedestrians to cross over to The Ohio State University wetlands area and continue south on the trail towards downtown Columbus.
Clinton-Como Park offers a mix of recreational facilities and natural areas. The park features athletic fields, including ball diamonds, as well as basketball and tennis courts. For families, there is a playground and picnic areas with tables. The park also includes wooded areas and wildlife habitat along the river, providing opportunities for nature observation.
Parking is available in a small lot in the north section, accessed from the west end of Lakeview Avenue. The park has undergone recent renovations to improve its facilities and enhance the visitor experience.
