In August 2023, a new playground was dedicated at Drummond Woods Park, breathing new life into the area. The playground addition was part of a renovation effort to address the park's need for maintenance and upgrades. Toledo City Councilmember Sam Melden noted that the park had required attention for several years prior to these improvements.
