Reaves Park

Reaves Park is one of the largest and oldest community parks in Norman, Oklahoma. It spans approximately 78 acres in the heart of the city, nestled near the University of Oklahoma campus and along Jenkins Avenue. The park has a rich history, originally serving as a Naval Air Station during World War II before being converted to public use in the 1960s.

The park features a diverse range of recreational facilities catering to various interests and age groups. Its expansive green spaces are dotted with mature trees, providing ample shade for visitors. The park is particularly known for its extensive sports facilities, including multiple baseball and softball fields that host local leagues and tournaments throughout the year.

Reaves Park is also home to the Cleveland County Veterans Memorial, honoring local service members. The park serves as a venue for numerous community events, including the annual Medieval Fair, one of Oklahoma's largest festivals. A recent renovation project, completed in 2023, added new fields, improved parking, and enhanced electrical services to better accommodate large events.
