Mohawk Park

Mohawk Park, located in Tulsa, Oklahoma, is a sprawling urban green space covering approximately 2,800 acres. Established in 1924 as part of a public works project that brought drinking water from the Spavinaw Dam to Tulsa, it stands as one of the largest municipal parks in the United States.

The park features diverse landscapes, including forested areas, open fields, and water bodies. Over 800 acres of the park are dedicated to the Oxley Nature Center, which offers hiking trails, a 5-acre marsh with a 600-foot boardwalk, and an observation tower. Mohawk Park is home to several notable attractions. The Tulsa Zoo, spanning 85 acres within the park, houses a wide array of animal species and educational exhibits. For golf enthusiasts, the park includes the Mohawk Park Golf Course, which offers 36 holes of play. The park also features Lake Yahola, a popular spot for fishing and scenic views.
