About Riverview Park in Bend
Riverview Park is a small roadside park located on Division Street in Bend, Oregon. Situated along the banks of the Deschutes River, this 0.5-acre park offers visitors a convenient spot to access the river and enjoy scenic views. The park features an accessible walkway leading to the river's edge, allowing visitors to easily approach the water.
The park is home to mature trees that provide shade and contribute to the natural ambiance. A wood bridge spans part of the riverfront, offering visitors a vantage point for river viewing and fishing. This fishing area was developed with support from the Bend Lion's Club in 1980, making it an accessible spot for anglers.
Riverview Park was acquired by the Bend Park and Recreation District in 1976, though it technically remains the property of the City of Bend. It was originally built as an Americans with Disabilities (ADA) compliant dock, enhancing its accessibility for all visitors.
The park's location just past the "BEND" berm on Division Street makes it a notable landmark, though its small size means it can be easy to miss. Despite its compact nature, Riverview Park provides a peaceful setting for those looking to enjoy a brief respite by the Deschutes River.
