About Amitage County Park in Eugene
Armitage Park is a 64-acre public park located along the McKenzie River, about 5 miles north of Eugene and 2 miles south of Coburg, Oregon. The park offers both day use areas and overnight camping facilities.
The day use portion of the park features access to the McKenzie River, including a paved boat ramp and trailer parking. There are picnic areas with tables and grills, as well as reservable group picnic shelters with electricity and water. Recreational amenities include volleyball courts and horseshoe pits.
For nature enthusiasts, the park contains old growth deciduous and evergreen trees. A half-mile self-guided interpretive trail called the Crilly Nature Trail winds through undeveloped areas of the park. There is also a tree-lined path along the river.
The campground portion has 37 sites total, including 32 RV sites with full hookups and 5 tent-only sites. RV sites can accommodate vehicles up to 60 feet in length. The campground provides amenities like restrooms, hot showers, and laundry facilities. A camp host is on-site.
Armitage Park also features a 2-acre off-leash dog park with water and shade for pets. The park serves as a popular put-in or take-out spot for boating trips on the McKenzie River. Its location near Interstate 5 and Eugene makes it convenient for travelers as well as local residents looking for outdoor recreation opportunities.
