About Bond Lane City Park in Eugene

Bond Lane Park is a tree-shaded, grassy park located in northeast Eugene, Oregon. Situated west of Norkenzie Road and north of Cal Young Road, this 7.6-acre park offers a quiet retreat in the Cal Young Neighborhood.

The park features a forested area on its north end, providing visitors with a serene environment and a loop trail for leisurely walks. In 2010, the park underwent renovations that included improvements to the playground on the south end, enhanced accessibility features, tree planting, and upgrades to park furniture.

A notable addition to Bond Lane Park was completed in 2024 with the construction of a new 1/4-mile loop trail through the neighborhood natural area. This trail was designed with inclusivity in mind, featuring flat or very gentle grades to accommodate people of all ages and abilities. The trail's compacted gravel base and fine gravel cap provide a smooth walking surface, making it particularly accessible for patrons from the adjacent retirement community.

Bond Lane Park serves as a valuable community space, offering opportunities for recreation, relaxation, and connection with nature in a residential setting.
