The Oval is a seasonal pop-up park located on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Situated at Eakins Oval, across from the Philadelphia Museum of Art's famous steps, this urban oasis transforms a public parking lot into a vibrant community space each summer.

The park spans eight acres and operates for seven weekends, typically from mid-July through late August. Open Thursday through Sunday, The Oval offers a variety of activities and amenities for visitors of all ages. The space is designed to celebrate the Benjamin Franklin Parkway's role as Philadelphia's central park.

At The Oval, visitors can enjoy food and beverages from local vendors, including a beer garden and rotating food trucks. The park features art installations, including ground murals created by local artists in partnership with Mural Arts Philadelphia. Live performances, including concerts and cultural showcases, are regularly scheduled throughout the season.

Family-friendly activities are a key component of The Oval's programming. The park includes a custom-designed, Philadelphia-themed mini-golf course that's accessible to all ages. On Sundays, special family-focused events and activities are organized, ranging from arts and crafts to interactive games.

The Oval also promotes wellness and community engagement through various initiatives. Free outdoor yoga classes are offered on Thursday evenings, and the park hosts marketplace days where local artisans and makers can showcase their products.
