Moore Park

Moore Park is a public recreation facility located in the Brookline neighborhood of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Established in 1939 and officially opened to the public in 1940, the park has been a cornerstone of community life for over eight decades.

The park spans approximately ten acres and was developed as part of a city-wide effort to create public recreation spaces in urban neighborhoods. Its creation was spearheaded by Joseph F. Moore, the principal of the West Liberty School District, who advocated for safe playground spaces to combat juvenile delinquency. In recognition of his efforts, the park was named in his honor.

Moore Park features a variety of recreational facilities that cater to different interests and age groups.
