Julia Burgen Linear Park

Julia Burgen Linear Park is a 67.4-acre green space located in Arlington, Texas. The park stretches between Pecan Street and Collins Street, east of the University of Texas at Arlington campus, with Center Street running through it. Situated south of downtown Arlington, this linear park serves as an important component of the city's greenway system.

Named after Julia Burgen, a former Arlington City Council member and lifelong environmental advocate, the park was dedicated in 2017 to honor her contributions to environmental preservation in the area. Burgen played a crucial role in shaping Arlington's approach to parks and open spaces, particularly in the preservation of Johnson Creek.

The park features approximately a mile-long hike and bike trail, providing visitors with opportunities for exercise and recreation.
