Northeast Metropolitan Park is a large recreational area located in Pflugerville, Texas, just outside of Austin. The park spans 420 acres and offers a wide variety of outdoor activities and facilities for visitors of all ages.
The park features numerous athletic fields, including soccer fields, baseball diamonds, and multi-purpose fields. These facilities cater to both organized sports leagues and casual recreational use. A cricket field is also available, providing space for this less common sport in the area.
For skateboarding enthusiasts, Northeast Metropolitan Park boasts a 41,450-square-foot concrete skate park. This facility opened in September 2012 and offers ample space for skaters to practice their skills on both street-style features and bowl configurations.
The park includes a network of paved trails that follow along Gilleland Creek, providing opportunities for walking, jogging, and cycling. These trails are largely shaded by trees, offering a pleasant environment for exercise and nature observation.
