About Stonegate Park in Corpus Christi

Stonegate Park is a public recreational area located in Corpus Christi, Texas. Situated in the Stonegate neighborhood near Bonner Dr, this park serves as a green space for the local community. The park provides a serene and natural setting for individuals and families to enjoy leisurely walks, picnics, and outdoor gatherings in a peaceful environment.

In 2022, as part of a city-wide initiative to enhance and beautify parks throughout Corpus Christi, Stonegate Park was selected to receive 10 new shade trees. This addition of native South Texas trees was aimed at improving the park's aesthetics, reducing noise pollution, enhancing air quality, and mitigating stormwater runoff and soil erosion. The trees were planted as part of a larger project that saw 230 shade trees distributed across 30 city parks, funded by the City's FY 2022 Budget.

The park features a walking path that allows visitors to enjoy the outdoors and engage in light exercise. This path is approximately 1.1 miles long, making it suitable for both casual strolls and more vigorous walking or jogging activities. The relatively flat terrain of the park makes it accessible to people of various fitness levels.
