Fred Moore Park

Fred Moore Park is a 10-acre neighborhood park located in Denton, Texas. The park features a 0.83-mile concrete trail that winds through the grounds, providing visitors with an opportunity for walking, jogging, or casual strolls.

The park is named after Fred Moore, honoring his contributions to the community. It serves as a recreational space for local residents and visitors alike, offering a variety of amenities for outdoor activities and relaxation.

Fred Moore Park is equipped with two pavilions: the East Pavilion and the West Pavilion. The East Pavilion covers 970 square feet and has a capacity for 36 people, while the West Pavilion is 720 square feet and can also accommodate 36 people. Both pavilions feature picnic tables that are not movable, providing convenient spaces for gatherings and outdoor meals.

The park includes multiple sports facilities, catering to various interests. There are lighted basketball courts, allowing for extended play into the evening hours. A softball field is also available for those interested in baseball or softball activities.

For families with children, Fred Moore Park offers two playgrounds, providing safe and engaging spaces for younger visitors to play and explore. The park's design incorporates both active recreational areas and more passive spaces for relaxation and enjoyment of the outdoors.
