About Northeast Regional Park in El Paso
Joey Barraza and Vino Memorial Park is a 28-acre all-inclusive park located on El Paso's north side on McCombs St. The park, formerly known as Northeast Regional Park, was renamed to honor Border Patrol Agent Joey Barraza and his K-9 partner Vino, who lost their lives in the line of duty in 2016.
The park underwent significant improvements and expansions in recent years. In 2023, new amenities were added to enhance the park's offerings and appeal to a wider range of visitors. The expansion integrated existing features such as skate parks and sculptures into new plazas, while also adding new facilities to create a modern, expansive recreational space for the community.
