Keeler Park is a public recreational area located on S. Rogers Road in Irving, Texas. As one of Irving's oldest parks, it has recently undergone significant expansion and renovation to better serve the community.
The park now features Irving's first outdoor lighted pickleball courts, addressing the growing popularity of this sport among residents. The renovation project, funded by a $1.2 million bond, has brought several improvements to enhance the park's usability and appeal.
Keeler Park's playground area has been enlarged and upgraded with new equipment, including swings and exercise stations. The park also boasts new walking trails, providing opportunities for exercise and leisurely strolls. Energy-efficient lighting has been installed throughout the park, improving safety and extending hours of use.
While embracing modern amenities, efforts have been made to preserve the park's historical significance. The existing pavilion has been retained, blending the park's heritage with its new features. The renovation also included the planting of 26 new trees, enhancing the park's natural beauty and shade coverage.
Additional improvements include an expanded parking lot to accommodate more visitors, and the installation of covered picnic tables, making it an ideal spot for family outings and community gatherings.
