About Ben Carpenter Statue Park in Irving

Founder's Park in Irving, Texas is a small urban park located on the westbound side of Highway 114 at Riverside Drive. The park serves as a tribute to Ben H. Carpenter, the visionary founder of Las Colinas, a planned community within Irving.

The centerpiece of Founder's Park is the Carpenter Monument, a larger-than-life sculpture created by renowned wildlife artist Robert Glen. Glen is also known for his work on the Mustangs of Las Colinas, which is considered the largest equestrian sculpture in the world.

In addition to the Carpenter Monument, the park features marble statues of cattle. These statues were donated by the Trammell Crow Company in 1999, adding to the park's visual appeal and historical significance.

Founder's Park provides a peaceful setting for visitors to relax and reflect on the history of Las Colinas and Irving. Its location along Highway 114 makes it easily accessible to both residents and travelers passing through the area.
