Lafayette Street Park

Lafayette Street Park is a public recreational area located in Laredo, Texas. The park is situated along Lafayette Street, spanning from the 1600 to 2200 block. It features a unique layout, with amenities distributed on both sides of the Lafayette Street Overpass, also known as the Judge Hector J. Liendo Overpass.

The park offers a variety of recreational facilities catering to different age groups and interests. One of its notable features is the recently added pickleball courts, which were opened in late 2023 as part of Laredo's initiative to join the growing national trend of pickleball. The park contains four of these courts, providing residents with a new sporting option.

For water-based recreation, Lafayette Street Park includes a splash pad, which is particularly popular during the hot summer months. The splash pad operates seasonally, typically from Tuesday through Sunday, offering a refreshing spot for families and children to cool off and play.

The park also caters to skateboarding enthusiasts with its skate park. This area features various elements such as ramps, rails, and other obstacles that allow skateboarders to practice and showcase their skills.
