Morris Sensory Playground

Morris Park is a developing green space located in McAllen, Texas. The park is situated between Morris Middle School and Dr. Perez Elementary School, serving as a connector for these educational institutions. Previously, the area was simply a grassy field owned by the local school district.

In 2021, the McAllen City Commission approved an agreement with the school district to develop Morris Park. The project has been planned in phases, with the first phase recently completed. This initial development focused on installing a walking trail to complement the existing area.

Future plans for Morris Park include the addition of various amenities to enhance its functionality and appeal to the community. The city of McAllen is working on constructing these features to create a more comprehensive recreational space for residents.
