Chris Davidson Opportunity Park is an inclusive recreational space located in Midland, Texas. The park is designed to accommodate children of all abilities, ensuring that no child is excluded from play opportunities due to individual challenges. Situated on a 3.31-acre tract of land adjacent to the Bush Tennis Center, this park offers a variety of specialized playground equipment and facilities.

The park is named after Chris Davidson, the son of Jan and Steve Davidson, who was diagnosed with muscular dystrophy at the age of four. In honor of Chris, the park features equipment that allows children with various abilities to play together, fostering an inclusive environment for all visitors.

Chris Davidson Opportunity Park is divided into four quadrants, each catering to different age groups and featuring various play elements. These include a ramped unit, PowerScape swings, a custom train theme, and a freestanding area with a shaded play unit. The park also boasts new zip lines, climbing walls, and an elevated pavilion that provides a view of all four quadrants.

Safety and accessibility are key features of the park. The play areas are covered with turf that includes attenuation, enhancing safety for all users. The park's design follows the 7 Principles of Inclusive Playground Design, ensuring that it meets the needs of children with diverse abilities.

While privately owned by the Bush Tennis Center, Chris Davidson Opportunity Park is open to the public, serving as a valuable community asset. The park's development was supported by various stakeholders, including the Midland Development Corporation, demonstrating the community's commitment to creating inclusive spaces for all residents.
