City Park is a 21-acre community park located in Sugar Land, Texas. Situated at the intersection of 7th Street and St Theresa Boulevard, this park serves as a central recreational hub for the city's residents.
The park features a variety of sports facilities, including five lighted baseball fields. These consist of one t-ball field, three little league fields for boys, and one pony league field. There is also a designated football practice area within the park grounds.
One of the park's main attractions is the Municipal Pool, which has been a part of the community since 1967. This 25-yard pool ranges in depth from 3 to 12 feet and is equipped with two 1-meter diving boards. The pool serves as the home base for the Sugar Land Sharks swim team.
For skateboarding enthusiasts, City Park offers a lighted and covered skate park pavilion. This facility includes bleachers, benches, and bike racks for spectators and participants alike. The skate park is open daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
The park also caters to tennis players with four lighted tennis courts. These courts can also be used for pickleball, providing versatility for different racquet sports.
For younger visitors, City Park includes a playground area. Families can also enjoy picnic facilities, including a covered picnic shelter, grills, and picnic tables scattered throughout the park.
Additional amenities include batting cages, a sand volleyball court, and horseshoe pits, offering a diverse range of recreational activities for park-goers.
City Park is open daily from sunrise to sunset, with sports fields available from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. The park's central location and variety of facilities make it a popular destination for Sugar Land residents of all ages.
