Donner Trail Park

Donner Trail Park is a 14.27-acre green space located in the East Bench neighborhood of Salt Lake City, Utah. Situated at the base of the Wasatch foothills, the park offers visitors stunning panoramic views of the Salt Lake Valley, particularly during sunsets.

This addition will offer community members a space to honor loved ones while contributing to the park's evolving landscape.

The park's name carries historical significance, referencing the Donner Party, a group of American pioneers who passed through the area in 1846. This connection to the past adds an element of cultural interest to the park.

As part of the park's redevelopment, a public art installation by artist Adam Kuby is planned. The artwork, tentatively titled "Journey Lines," will feature sloping berms, carefully placed stones, and boulders that blend with the environment. These elements will create winding paths for exploration and offer additional seating areas for visitors to appreciate the park's natural beauty and wildlife.
