Meydenbauer Beach Park

Meydenbauer Bay Park is a scenic waterfront park located in Bellevue, Washington, along the shores of Lake Washington. Spanning 7 acres, this park offers visitors a unique blend of natural beauty and recreational opportunities. The park's history dates back to the 1930s when it was first established by King County, later becoming part of the City of Bellevue in 1953.

In 2019, the park underwent a significant expansion and renovation, enhancing its features and accessibility. The redesign included the addition of a 420-foot-long curved pedestrian pier that extends into the bay, providing visitors with panoramic views of the lake and surrounding landscape. This pier also serves as a hand-carry boat launch for non-motorized watercraft.

The park features a large public swimming beach with a designated swimming area, which is supervised by lifeguards during the summer months. Adjacent to the beach, visitors can find a modern beach house equipped with restrooms, changing rooms, and a lifeguard station. For families, there's a children's playground area designed to blend with the natural surroundings.

Meydenbauer Bay Park incorporates elements of its natural environment, including a restored shoreline and a daylighted stream channel.
