About Thornton A. Sullivan Park in Everett
Thornton A. Sullivan Park is a 35.3-acre public park located on the northwest shore of Silver Lake in Everett, Washington. The park offers a variety of recreational amenities and natural areas for visitors to enjoy.
The park features a swimming beach on Silver Lake, which is popular during summer months. However, there are no lifeguards on duty, so visitors swim at their own risk. A boat launch is available for small watercraft, with electric motors or gas motors up to 8 horsepower allowed on the lake.
For land-based activities, the park has a playground for children as well as picnic areas with shelters that can be reserved. There are walking trails that wind through wooded areas and along the lakeshore. A 9-hole disc golf course provides another recreational option for visitors.
Thornton A. Sullivan Park also contains Silver Hall, an indoor facility with a kitchen that can be rented for events. The hall has a capacity of 40 people.
The park is open daily from 6 AM until dusk. While it offers many amenities, visitors should note that the park can get busy during peak summer times, and parking may be limited on weekends and holidays.
