The park features a variety of landscapes, including open meadows, wooded areas, and developed recreational facilities. A quarter-mile walking trail encircles the eastern meadow, offering a peaceful route for strolls and light exercise. Morrill Meadows Park underwent a significant renovation in 2023-2024, reopening in May 2024 after a $1.59 million upgrade project. The renovations expanded and improved several features of the park, enhancing its accessibility and amenities. The playground area was expanded and now includes improved ADA access, new swings, and a nature play area. The project also added updated park furnishings, improved the lawn space, and installed a permanent stage for community events and summer concerts.

Adjacent to Morrill Meadows Park is a 3.5-acre off-leash dog park, which opened in 2010. This separate area allows dog owners to let their pets run and play freely in a controlled environment.
Morrill Meadows Park is situated next to the Kent YMCA, creating opportunities for coordinated indoor and outdoor recreational activities. The park's location and diverse features make it a valuable community resource for residents of Kent's East Hill neighborhood and beyond.
