Originally built in the 1960s, Philip Arnold Park underwent significant renovations and reopened on December 1, 2023. The renovation also addressed drainage and stormwater management issues.
The park is named after Philip Keith Arnold, a fourteen-year-old Boy Scout who tragically died in December 1948 after accidentally being electrocuted while climbing a power pole near the current park property.
