About Wedgwood Square in Seattle

Wedgwood Square is a small park located in the Wedgwood neighborhood of Seattle, Washington. Despite its name, the park is actually triangular in shape, formed by the intersection of 31st Avenue NE and NE 82nd Street. This tiny green space was dedicated in the original land plat of Wedgwood in 1941.

The park's most notable feature is a tall Douglas Fir tree, which serves as a centerpiece and provides shade to visitors. This tree was intentionally preserved during the neighborhood's development, becoming an integral part of the park's design. The surrounding area is grassy, offering a small patch of nature within the urban setting.

Wedgwood Square serves as a quiet spot for local residents to enjoy a moment of tranquility. While its size limits extensive recreational activities, it provides a pleasant green space that contributes to the neighborhood's character and offers a brief respite from city life.
