Prairie View Park

Prairie View Community Park is a community park located in Spokane, Washington. The park was acquired in 2006, with an additional 10.2 acres added in 2012. It spans 17.6 acres in total, with 7.4 acres initially developed as both a community park and an aquatic facility.

Situated off the Palouse Highway, Prairie View Community Park serves residents on the South Hill as well as the rural Palouse area. The site is fully developed and landscaped, offering a variety of recreational amenities for visitors of all ages.

One of the park's main attractions is its aquatic facility, which provides a popular spot for community members to cool off during warm weather. The park also features outdoor recreational facilities such as a basketball court and pickleball courts, catering to sports enthusiasts.

For those seeking more passive recreation, Prairie View Community Park offers paved trails for walking or jogging, as well as picnic shelters for gatherings and outdoor meals. Families with children can enjoy the playground area and climbing wall, which provide opportunities for active play and physical challenges.

The park underwent further development in 2016-2017 with grant funding assistance from the Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office, expanding its offerings to the community.
