Cliff Park

Cliff Park is a historic public park located in the Cliff/Cannon neighborhood of Spokane, Washington. Established in 1908, the park covers approximately 4.2 acres and is situated atop a basalt outcrop that rises over 60 feet above the surrounding terrain. This unique geological feature provides visitors with panoramic views of downtown Spokane and the surrounding valley.

The park's centerpiece is a large, grassy open space surrounding the basalt outcrop. Visitors can climb to the top of this natural formation via stone steps, where they are rewarded with sweeping vistas in all directions. The park's elevated position made it a strategic lookout point for the Spokane Tribe in earlier times.
