About Clas Park in Milwaukee
Clas Plaza is a small urban park located on W. Wells Street in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The plaza occupies 1.0 acre of land in the heart of downtown Milwaukee, adjacent to the Milwaukee County Courthouse.
Originally known as Courthouse Square, the park was later renamed in honor of Alfred C. Clas, a prominent Milwaukee architect who designed many significant buildings in the city during the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
The plaza serves as a green space and gathering area for courthouse employees, visitors, and local residents. Its central location makes it a convenient spot for people to take breaks, eat lunch, or simply enjoy some fresh air in the midst of the bustling downtown area.
