David Green Park

David Green Park is a neighborhood park located in the Tudor area of Anchorage, Alaska. The park encompasses 2.89 acres and serves as a local recreational space for residents. Originally named Crescent Park, it was renamed in 1989 to honor David Green for his family values and dedication to children.

The park features a playground area designed for children aged 5-12 years old. In 2015, it became the first park in Anchorage to have a fully inclusive playground, making it accessible to children of all abilities. A notable feature is the Walrus climbing structure, which has become an iconic element of the park.

David Green Park includes a large open field suitable for various activities and games. For those seeking shade or a place to gather, there is a picnic shelter with tables. The park also has a 16-spot parking lot to accommodate visitors.

Over the years, the park has undergone several improvements. In 1997, local businesses, organizations, and volunteers came together to fund and build the playground. More recent upgrades have included the installation of ADA-accessible play equipment, improved safety surfacing, and general repairs to park amenities.

The park is open from 6 am to 11 pm, allowing for extended use during Anchorage's long summer days. Portable restrooms are typically available from May to August for visitor convenience.
