Gilbert Regional Park

Gilbert Regional Park, located in Gilbert, Arizona, is a sprawling 272-acre recreational area that opened in 2019. Situated against the backdrop of the San Tan Mountains, this park offers a diverse range of activities and amenities for visitors of all ages.

The park features a unique topographical design that incorporates the natural landscape, including a hillside that has been integrated into the playground area. This design allows for vertical play opportunities while maintaining accessibility for all users. A 4,000-square-foot splash pad, known as "The Falls," provides a refreshing play area with 57 interactive water features, and is open year-round from 8:30 AM to 9:30 PM.

One of the park's focal points is a custom-designed playground called "The Mountain," which stands 17 feet tall and offers multiple levels of climbing features, slides, swings, and a zip-line. For younger children, there's a separate tot playground area called "The Creek."

The park also includes a 7-acre lake with an urban fishing pier, stocked with various fish species for recreational fishing. A 1-mile walking path surrounds the lake and event areas, providing opportunities for exercise and leisurely strolls.

For sports enthusiasts, Gilbert Regional Park offers a variety of courts for activities such as basketball, pickleball, tennis, and sand volleyball. These facilities are available on a first-come, first-served basis and feature high-performance LED lighting for evening play.

The park includes an amphitheater and a 10-acre event lawn that can accommodate up to 5,000 people, making it suitable for concerts, movie nights, and other community events. A large group ramada is available for gatherings of up to 160 people, complete with food preparation areas and amenities.

Gilbert Regional Park is designed with sustainability in mind and has been recognized with awards for its design and facilities. The park continues to develop, with plans for future expansions and additional amenities to serve the community.
