About Indian Bend Park in Tempe

Indian Bend Park is a public recreational area located in Tempe, Arizona. Developed in 1962 on land previously owned by the Salt River Project, this 8-acre park offers a variety of facilities for visitors to enjoy. The park is open daily from 6 a.m. to 12 a.m., providing ample time for community members to engage in various activities.

The park underwent significant improvements in 2021 as part of Tempe's Parks Improvement Plan. These enhancements included a complete renovation of the playground area and the addition of two new ramadas. The project also involved installing new lighting in the playground area, planting more trees, and resurfacing both the basketball and tennis courts. Notably, the tennis court resurfacing included striping for one pickleball court and two tennis courts, expanding the range of activities available to visitors.

Indian Bend Park serves as a local community hub, offering spaces for both active recreation and relaxation. Its mix of amenities caters to various age groups and interests, making it a versatile destination for Tempe residents.
