Rawley Duntley Park is a 20-acre public recreational area located in Lancaster, California. Established in the mid-1980s, this neighborhood park has long served as a popular gathering spot for west-side residents. The park is named after Rawley Bruce Duntley, a prominent figure in the Antelope Valley community known as the "Barbecue King" for his charitable acts and devotion to his neighbors.

The park offers a variety of facilities for sports and leisure activities. It features two lighted baseball fields, which are frequently used by local adult and youth sports teams for practice throughout the year. Two basketball courts are also available for visitors who enjoy shooting hoops or playing pickup games.

For families with children, Rawley Duntley Park includes a playground area where kids can climb, swing, and slide. The park also provides ample space for picnicking, with nine barbecues available for public use. Group picnic shelters can be reserved for special events, making it an ideal location for community gatherings and family celebrations.

As of March 2024, the park is undergoing significant renovations to enhance its facilities. The renovation project, which began with a groundbreaking ceremony on March 11, 2024, aims to revitalize the park and provide updated amenities for the community. The improvements include the installation of a brand-new playground and the renovation of the existing basketball courts. During the construction period, which is expected to last until June 2024, parts of the park, including the playground and a portion of the parking lot, will be temporarily unavailable to the public.

Rawley Duntley Park continues to be a cherished community landmark in Lancaster, offering residents a space for recreation, relaxation, and community engagement. Its ongoing improvements demonstrate the city's commitment to maintaining and enhancing public spaces for the benefit of its residents.
