Sgt. Steve Owen Memorial Park, located in Lancaster, California, is a 63-acre community hub that serves as a focal point for local activities and recreation. Formerly known as Lancaster City Park, it was renamed in 2016 to honor Sergeant Steve Owen, a Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department officer who tragically lost his life in the line of duty that year.
The park is centrally situated adjacent to Highway 14, between Avenues K and L, making it easily accessible to residents and visitors alike. Its expansive, tree-lined grounds provide a serene environment for various community events, from national softball tournaments to family reunions and children's birthday parties.
At the heart of the park stands the Stanley Kleiner Activity Center, named after Lancaster's first mayor. Built in the mid-1980s, this facility features a full kitchen, game room, and auditorium, serving as a versatile space for community gatherings and events.
