Lincoln Park

Lincoln Park is one of the oldest parks in Los Angeles, California, originally established in 1881. Located at the intersection of Valley Boulevard and Mission Road, it spans approximately 45 acres in the Lincoln Heights neighborhood. The park was initially called East Los Angeles Park, then renamed Eastlake Park in 1901, before finally becoming Lincoln Park in 1917 in honor of Abraham Lincoln High School.

The centerpiece of Lincoln Park is a large lake, known as Lincoln Park Lake (originally East Lake), which provides a scenic backdrop for various recreational activities. The park has a rich history, having once been home to one of the city's first zoos and a popular carousel that attracted thousands of riders annually in the early 20th century.

Throughout its existence, Lincoln Park has served as a vital community space for generations of Los Angeles residents. It has undergone several renovations and improvements over the years to meet the changing needs of the community.
