Orchard Park

Orchard Park is a community park located in Modesto, California. The park features a variety of recreational facilities and amenities for visitors to enjoy. One of the main attractions is a rentable softball and youth baseball field, which can be reserved for a minimum of two hours at a rate of $15.00 per hour. The field does not have lighting, making it suitable for daytime use.

In addition to the baseball field, Orchard Park also offers a soccer field, which can be rented under similar conditions as the baseball field. For basketball enthusiasts, the park provides two full basketball courts, allowing for pickup games or organized play.

Families with children can take advantage of the park's playground area, which has recently undergone renovation. The playground project included the removal of existing sand and equipment, installation of new drainage improvements, new playground equipment, concrete ADA ramps, and wood chips for safety.

Orchard Park also features picnic tables and a walking path, making it an ideal spot for leisurely strolls or outdoor gatherings. The park's layout provides ample open space, allowing visitors to engage in various activities such as volleyball or badminton games.

For visitors' convenience, the park is equipped with restroom facilities. Organizations renting the ball fields are required to provide a certificate of insurance.

The park's recent playground renovation was part of a voter-approved Measure H initiative to improve various amenities in Modesto's park system. The renovation project for Orchard Park's playground received significant community support, with 72% of the votes favoring the winning concept out of 372 total votes cast.
